Career Fair
Schedule:
07:30AM - 08:00AM Registration will begin for both Company Representative and Career Seekers. The Registration table, located at the top of the stairs under the church canopy will also be the Information booth for this event.
08:00AM – 08:30AM General Networking by Company Representatives and Career Seekers. In addition, if you would like to have your resume reviewed sign-up sheets will be available in this area. Location: Common grounds between Church and Educational Building
08:30AM – 09:00AM Introduction of Company Representatives. Location: Common grounds outside Parish Hall
09:00AM – 11:00AM Career Fair and Resume Review. Career Fair will be in the Parish Hall and Resume Review will be in rooms’ 3A/B of education building.
Key Points for Career Seekers:
1. Do not introduce yourself to the Company Representatives inside Parish Hall; this will be closed until start of career fair. Only introduce yourself if they are participating in the General Networking session and remember this is a social event, get to know them as individuals!
2. Ensure you have a minimum of 20 copies of your resume. (see attached file for more information)
3. Ensure you have plenty of Business Cards (BC) for the General Networking Event, Career Fair and if you are having your resume reviewed.
4. When presenting your BC handed it so the person can read your information immediately and if you receive one take the time to read the card - DO NOT just put it in your pocket or purse. Remember: when dealing with International Business People you read their card and turn it over to see if there is any other information on the backside (i.e. you act like you are study their card and compliment them about the card or information on the card)
5. Name badges: Make sure it is legible and it is on your right side and visible to anyone who shakes your hand.
6. Dress accordingly for this event - Business Casual or Professional. For those who remember from a meeting last year (Men shine the shoes, Ladies - good looking shoes, I remember attending a meeting and the Lady presenting stated "Other Women are always comparing their shoes to other women’s' shoes")
